· Density: 8.9g/cm³

· Melting Point: 1325–1370℃

Core Characteristics:

Monel400 (N04400) alloy woven screens are renowned for their exceptional corrosion resistance, making them a preferred choice in demanding environments. Key traits include:

· Superior Corrosion Resistance: Excels in hydrofluoric acid, fluorine gas, hot concentrated alkalis, neutral solutions, water, seawater, atmosphere, and organic compounds. It is one of the rare materials resistant to hydrofluoric acid and outperforms copper-based alloys in seawater.

· Broad Acid Resistance: Withstands sulfuric acid concentrations below 85% and resists corrosion in hydrochloric acid and sulfuric acid derivatives.

· Stability in Water & High Temperatures: Shows minimal pitting or stress corrosion in water (corrosion rate <0.025mm/a) and performs reliably in high-temperature steam (corrosion rate <0.026mm/a) with a continuous working temperature of ~600℃ in air.

· Ammonia Resistance: Resists corrosion in anhydrous ammonia and ammoniation conditions up to 585℃, thanks to its high nickel content.

· Structural & Mechanical Advantages: Features a high-strength single-phase solid solution microstructure, avoids stress corrosion cracks, and offers excellent machinability.

Applications:

Monel400 alloy screens are widely used across industries, including:

· Power plants: Seamless water and steam pipes

· Marine engineering: Seawater exchangers and evaporators

· Chemical processing: Equipment for sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, and crude oil distillation

· Nuclear industry: Uranium refining and isotope separation equipment

· Marine hardware: Pump shafts and propellers for seawater applications

· Acid manufacturing: Pumps and valves for hydrochloric acid production
